Like all NBA newcomers, Francisco Elson was not immune to occasional rookie mistakes in his first season.
Some were fundamental: Failure to set a pick or block out on the boards.
Some were mental: Losing track of the shot clock or lingering too long in the three-second lane.
One was inexplicable: Calling league MVP and seven-time All-Star Kevin Garnett gay. During the playoffs, no less.
"I guess I made a name for myself," Elson said after the Nuggets' practice Wednesday.
