Renesas Technology America, Inc. today announced six 16-bit M16C/29 group microcontrollers (MCUs) that provide flash memory, comprehensive peripheral functions, and an interface circuit that supports the controller-area network (CAN version 2.0B) standard. The new devices, which expand the M16C/Tiny series, have small, low-pin-count packages: 64-pin (10mm x 10mm) or 80-pin (12mm x 12mm) LQFPs.
