A contemporary elegance graces the Spanish Renaissance design of St. Elizabeth's University Parish, Lubbock, Texas. Set among the historic campus buildings of Texas Tech University and neighboring Spanish Renaissance architecture, the new church merges into the surroundings while making a striking impression.
Design concepts
"The focus in religious architecture today is how to capture the spirit and symbols of the heritage while making the spaces exciting and invigorating for the modern liturgy," said Ben Heimsath, principal of Heimsath Architects, the lead design firm for St. Elizabeth's.
