"It's About the Customer" was the theme for Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Service Day activities at the American Society of Military Comptrollers 2004 Professional Development Institute (PDI). More than 500 attendees heard how DFAS has improved customer service since the past year's PDI and how the agency's vision will continue to improve customer service.
The day began with the introduction of DFAS Director Zack E. Gaddy. Mr. Gaddy became the Director of the DFAS on May 30. In this capacity, he oversees the day-to-day accounting and finance activities of the Department of Defense (DoD).
