Oct. 17--Along with choosing the next president and political leaders at the state and local levels, Grand Strand voters in November will weigh how they want to be taxed.
Referendum questions are on the ballot in Georgetown, Horry, and Brunswick, N.C., counties.
They ask Grand Strand voters to commit to millions of dollars in debt to build public schools in Horry County and expand Brunswick Community College in that growing North Carolina county. They ask voters to take on additional sales tax in Horry and Georgetown counties as a measure to ease ...
