Oct. 17--WEST MAYFIELD, Pa. -- A bowl of cream-colored goo has chemist Greg Stewart stumped.
Someday the goo will be body lotion, attractively packaged and sold by Stewart's employer, Sensibility Soaps of West Mayfield. In a bowl, stirred by an electric mixer-type object, it looks like not-quite-blended butter and eggs. Good for chocolate chip cookies, not so good for an over-the-counter skin care product.
Stewart directs his assistant, Geneva College student Danyale Strider, to pour in more melted shea butter.
