Oct. 19--FINANCES OF THE TIGERS SHOW PROMISE: It's all about the product.
That's a familiar mantra among automotive executives in Detroit, but it also clearly applies to the business fortunes of the Detroit Tigers baseball team.
Thanks to some new players, a hot start in April and a solidly competitive first half of the 2004 season, the Tigers posted boffo financial improvements over the dismal 2003 campaign.
