MONTEREY, Calif. _ Two undefeated female boxers who have realistic aspirations to win a world championship somewhere down the road will cross paths next month in Monterey when they face each other in a six-round bout at the Riot at the Hyatt.
Watsonville's Carina Moreno (6-0, 2 KOs), ranked No. 6 in the world at junior flyweight (108 pounds) by the Women's International Boxing Association, will face the stiffest test of her pro career when she takes on Westminster's Julie Rubalcava (3-0, 1 KO), No. 15 at super flyweight (115), in the Hyatt's Grand Ballroom on Nov. 27.
