Pernambuco state reported an 18.3% increase in exports between January and September 2004 to US$314mil, corresponding to 76% of the total exported in 2003 (US$410mil) and surpassing the performance in 2002 (US$319.8mil), 2001 (US$334.9mil), 2000 (US$283mil) and 1999 (US$265.8mil).
