Dane County health care providers are working together to manage the local supply of influenza vaccine so that every high-risk resident is immunized.
Meanwhile, local workplaces, the UW campus and others are coping with a short supply of flu vaccine.
There are approximately 170,000 doses of vaccine in Dane County, but not all will be administered in the county, said Dr. Kathryn Vedder, director of the Madison Public Health Department. Some locally based health care providers, like UW Health, supply clinics in other parts of the state.
