Oct. 21--CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The Iowa Tourism Office named Cedar Falls its "community of the year" this week.
Why did the city receive the honor?
Let Kim Burger, director of the Cedar Falls Tourism and Visitors Bureau count the ways.
"We really have so much going on. Between the downtown, the McLeod Center, the Gallagher-Bluedorn and everything else, there is just so much happening," Burger said.
The city's application for the award serves as exhibit A. Each city is allowed one page to explain why it deserves the award.
