Oct. 22--Kim William Sasse, the pilot of a commuter plane that crashed Tuesday night near Kirksville, Mo., killing 13 people, was a flying instructor so focused on safety that it frustrated some of his students, his father said Thursday.
"He used to tell me how a lot of his students would try to cut corners," Victor Sasse said of his son. "He was very safety conscious and that used to annoy people."
