2004 OCT 25 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- In postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, treatment with Actonel (risedronate sodium tablets; Procter & Gamble) improves, then maintains bone mineralization at levels comparable to those of premenopausal women, a small study shows.
These new data, generated collaboratively by researchers at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and The Alliance for Better Bone Health (formed by Procter & Gamble and Aventis, part of the Sanofi-Aventis Group) were presented at the 26th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.
