Oct. 22--Carol and Karen Wohlleben may be a little late to the coffeehouse party in Cedar Rapids, but that's fine with the mother-daughter espresso entrepreneurs.
The opening of First Avenue Expresso at 2706 First Ave. NE next week will bring gourmet coffee to another neighborhood and give coffee lovers in Cedar Rapids another option, Karen says. She considers coffee shops the new neighborhood bars, a place where people can socialize or just get out of the house, but without the alcohol.
