There's an old saying in sports: To be the best, you've got to beat the best. And now the Red Sox have to do it again.

Having disposed of the New York Yankees in historic fashion, the Sox now will meet the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. Like the Yankees, the Cardinals finished with the best record in their league this season, totaling 105 victories and finishing, in fact, with the best record in all of baseball.
