Joe Torre opted not to bunt on Curt Schilling. The Yankees manager elected not to make the Red Sox pitcher run on his sutured-up right ankle in Game 6 of the ALCS.
Tony La Russa? Don't count on the Cardinals manager following Torre's lead.
Torre was second-guessed for playing the gentleman. He was criticized for not having someone, be it Miguel Cairo, or whoever, drop at least one bunt down.
