Oct. 24--It's not an issue frequently talked about on the presidential campaign trail, but this election will be an important one for agriculture.
The federal Farm Bill -- which covers everything from school lunch standards and food stamps to land preservation and commodity support programs -- must be renewed in 2007.
And the next president will have to tackle that and several other issues tied in with farmers' futures.
