The 38th Combat Support Wing was activated on 25 May 2004 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. The 38th CSW is commanded by Colonel Richard B. Weathers, who was serving as the USAFE Comptroller. This activation provides COMUSAFE a wing with functional expertise dedicated to geographically separated units (GSU).
