The Christopher Gist Historical Society is dedicating its Saturday luncheon meeting to celebrating the 90th birthday of its president, Dr. Fred Stine IV.
The meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. on the second floor deck of the Mike Fink Restaurant, Covington riverfront.
Stine was born Nov. 4, 1914, to Dr. Fred Stine III and Caroline Stuhlmeyer Stine. His father died in 1926. He and his mother moved from Newport to Fort. Thomas, where he attended Highlands High School, lettering in baseball, basketball, and football. He graduated in 1932.
