#2 Polish mobile operator Centertel grabs 500,000 new clients in Q3, hits 31.2% mkt share
Warsaw. October 28. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Poland's second-largest mobile operator Centertel, owned by Poland's telecom incumbent TPSA, boosted its client count by 503,000 in the third quarter versus 79,000 in the second quarter, on Poles signed on for its new, cheap pre-paid offer, TPSA showed in a quarterly presentation.
"We have secured the No. 2 position on the market, with the leading position in the post-paid segment," TPSA President Marek Jozefiak said on a meeting with analysts. "Currently we have a 31.2% stake in the overall market and 34.3% in the post-paid."
