Could this be the ultimate, definitive, all-encompassing 24-hour-a-day Hollywood news programming that the world is supposed to be panting for?

The verdict is still out for the Entertainment Television, but its executives are betting at the "to-do" lunch at The Polo Lounge that their Los Angeles-based cable network service will be big...er - huge - worldwide.

Commonly known as E!, the two-year-old channel, owned by HBO/Time Warner and five other cable operator, cablecasts up to eight hours original programming a day, seven days a week, throughout the U.S.

The in-house-produced shows are rotated for E!'s 24-hour-a-day schedule.
