Oct. 25--The Canadian River Municipal Water Authority's proposed issuance of $43 million in bonds for more water rights means different things for Pampa and Lubbock.
Pampa already has more than enough water. In fact, it's planning to sell some to Lubbock.
Pampa has the option to remain a CRMWA member and opt out of the bond issue, providing some other city would pick up its percentage, said Pampa Interim City Manager John Horst.
Ches Carthel, water planning manager for Lubbock, said Lubbock doesn't see an option to opt out of the bond issue. He said Lubbock needs it.
