Oct. 28--COBURG, Ore. -- Responding to slower sales in August and September, Monaco Coach Corp. offered discounts and incentives to dealers, which took a toll on the Coburg-based company's third quarter earnings, Monaco officials said Wednesday.
Monaco reported a profit of $7.4 million, or 25 cents a share, on sales of $358.9 million in the three months ended Oct. 2. Profit was up 18.8 percent and sales were up 18.4 percent compared with the third quarter last year.
Monaco officials announced the financial results on Wednesday in a conference call with investors and analysts.
