Aug. 18--SALINAS, Calif. -- AGENCY WILL PROMOTE HEALTHY EATING: An agency formed to promote healthy lifestyles by eating locally grown produce has named Mike Pippi as its executive director.

Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Principles, or HELP, aims to teach Monterey County children healthier ways of living, primarily through lessons in Salinas Valley agriculture in large-scale marketing campaigns. It plans to launch the campaign in October at children's fair Kidfest.

As HELP's director, Pippi will lead programs and initiatives for the organization.
