2004 NOV 1 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) announced the 5th Annual Samter Journalism Award Program.
The AAAAI developed the Samter Award to celebrate and award outstanding medical/health reporting in allergic disease issues. Winners will receive a cash prize of $1000.
Allergic disorders including asthma, allergies, sinusitis and allergic skin disorders affect 20% of the U.S. population, and the prevalence continues to increase.
