As president of CEFIC, Baron Daniel Janssen, Solvay's (Brussels) chairman, has been very active in promoting Responsible Care in Europe. The initiative has been adopted by the company in the U.S., where all Solvay's plants are already working under the Responsible Care banner. In Europe, Solvay has accepted the initiative and all its plants are ready to cooperate.
Max Kogelnig, environment and safety director, is in charge of the program at Solvay. "This year we will inform our people about our policy," he says.
