PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local ABU DHABI GAS INDUSTRIES LTD. (GASCO), a subsidiary of ABU DHABI NATIONAL OIL CO. (ADNOC), is currently gearing-up to execute 2 major gas projects. The planned phase III development of the offshore Thamama F field is intended to enable the production of 130,000 barrels per day (b/d) of condensates by the year 2008. The cost to complete this project has been estimated at $1,200,000,0000. According Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, GASCO (Head of Exploration & Production), the tenders are put out and they are expected to be finalized by end of 2005.
