Gift baskets, which are becoming more and more popular to answer a variety of gift-giving needs, can be designed to meet all budgets. Retailers agree that in today's economy $35 is the most popular price point for gift baskets. G&DA interviewed four successful gift basket retailers to find out how they profit from the $35 gift basket.
"People realize you can't buy much for $20 or $25 anymore. $35 is the next step up," acknowledges Peg Ross of the Stuffed Basket in Occoguan, Va.
