Sherry Frey had a vision. A vision that gift baskets would be hot sellers. She always tries to stay a step ahead of the times, so she did her research and then, five years ago, opened the 1,200-sq.-ft. Gift Basket Boutique in the rural community of Chambersburg, Pa. Located in an old-fashioned stand-alone house on the town's main thoroughfare, the shop is decorated in a homey fashion with thick carpeting for comfortable shopping. Ms. Frey shares the space with a jewelry and cosmetic boutique. She also uses the space to sell balloons and gift merchandise that she makes.
