Macintosh peripheral vendor Mirror Technologies Inc. of Roseville, MN., is teaming up with 3M Corp. and four stock photo agencies to market a new CD-ROM-based stock photo researching tool for the advertising and design market. The product called "CD Stock" will offer immediate access to the largest collection of digitally stored stock photographs ever available from leading stock agencies. The initial offering will provide a library of 20,000 images on four discs. Mirror CEO Ron Eibensteiner says his company's CD-ROM drive and 3M's image searching software technology offer "an incredible time-saving tool to search, locate and retrieve photo images almost instantaneously."
