Starbrands is what they call it. Six European frozen food producers have set up a joint sales organization for the emerging market economies in Central and Eastern Europe.
Warsaw, Poland, is the site of the first Starbrands sales office. The founding companies had already presented themselves to the food business on a joint booth at the International Food and Drink Exhibition IFE last spring in Warsaw. Those first members are:
* Stover/Agrarfrost, Wildeshausen, Germany: frozen potato products
* Gebx: Stolle GmbH & Co. KG, Visbek, Germany: frozen poultry
* Fleisch-Krone Feinkost GmbH, Essen/Oldb, Germany: frozen meat products
