SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- LG Electronics Inc., South Korea's second-largest electronics maker, said Tuesday it is ready to take a counter-action against Japan's Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. over a patent infringement row related to plasma display panels. The move came a day after Matsushita filed a court injunction to halt sales of LG's plasma display panels in Japan, arguing the Korean company is infringing on its patents.
Matsushita claimed LG Electronics is violating its patents on technology to dissipate heat that is generated when the panels are activated, according to a report by Japan's Kyodo News Service.
