STUTTGART, Germany -- The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra may have had a free day in Stuttgart on Monday, but for many the best free day was the first, upon arriving in Vienna last Thursday.
"Vienna, City of My Dreams," came true for many sleep-deprived members of the Cincinnati Symphony, who enjoyed the free day Thursday, the first complete post-arrival day of their two-week tour of Europe.
The transatlantic flight had turned into an ordeal for half of the orchestra, who spent 10 hours in Paris' Charles DeGaulle Airport after a late arrival from Cincinnati caused them to miss their connection to Vienna. For those who ...
