Facility required placement of 324 12-inch-diameter auger cast pilings
A new $7.5-million Home Depot in Grand Haven was recently completed. The 103,000-square-foot, single-story Home Depot on the former site of a Meijer store at the intersection of Beacon Boulevard (US-31) and Jackson Street, was under construction in the fall of 2003, after the existing 180,000-square-foot Meijer store was demolished.
Work on the new Home Depot, which is situated on approximately 10 acres, required the placement of 324 12-inch-diameter auger cast pilings. The average depth for the pilings was approximately 80 feet with the longest going ...
