Nov. 4--Another distribution center is being courted to settle in Bibb County, the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority board was told Wednesday.
The company, given the code name Bounty, is looking to build a 700,000-square-foot facility that would serve the company's Southeast region, said Chip Cherry, president of the Macon Economic Development Commission. Code names are used while companies are searching for a site.
The company expects to initially employ about 275 workers and increase that number over five years to more than 500, Cherry said.
