Nov. 4--Nokia is moving rapidly in the multimedia smart phone segment in the Asia-Pacific market as part of its strategy to focus on what it sees as a key growth driver next year, with the introduction of three new interactive application handsets.
"Given the number of tech-savvy consumers and the entertainment lifestyle behaviour, Nokia is riding on the great growth momentum in the region, particularly in new-growth markets like India and Indonesia," said Urpo Karjalainen, senior vice-president for customer and market operations of Nokia Asia Pacific.
