1. Application of 1,4-butanediol
1,4-Butanediol (BDO) is a saturated C4 straight-chain dibasic alcohol. Its chemical properties are very similar to other saturated dibasic alcohols (such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol). Owing to its long carbon chain, polyester or polyurethane produced using 1,4-butanediol as raw material has more balanced physical properties than polymers produced using ethylene glycol or propylene glycol as raw material.
