A "partnering" concept designed to foster cooperation among members of project teams is being implemented on several U.S. General Services Administration projects, and the agency has been pleased with the initial results.
GSA's partnering efforts began last fail when the agency outlined its partnering objectives and asked its regional offices to look for projects on which the approach could be tried out. "We're convinced of its validity," said Bernie Adamec, director of building standards and technology in GSA's Office of Design and Construction. "The results we're getting now, while preliminary, have been encouraging."
