Master Boat Builders, Bayou La Batre, Ala., has delivered two supply boats to Abdon Callais Offshore, Golden Meadow, La.--the Blanche Callais in August and the Early Bird in October.
The 166'X36'X12' steel vessels are described by Andre Dubroc, the yard's general manager, as "designed to carry the maximum amount of liquid mud for their size. Both are under 100 tons. Basically everything is there. They're DP ready. And they're the first vessels to meet the new security requirements."
Capacities include 43,000 gals. of fuel; 2,200 bbl. liquid mud; 36,000 gals. methanol; and 52,000 gals. ballast water.
Both vessels have berths for 20 crew.
