Nov. 8--SANTA FE, N.M. -- The state Tourism Department has compiled a multimillion-dollar wish list for tourism promotion that it plans to pitch to legislators next session.
The department's budget request will remain unchanged from this year at about $14 million, said assistant tourism secretary Rick Scroggins.
But the department plans to ask for about $7 million in additional funds for advertising, marketing and building visitor centers.
The wish list includes:
