ISLAMABAD, November 7: As many as 5340 seats are lying vacant out of 119,843 seats of councillors and Nazmims across the country.
These seats had fallen vacant due to resignations and death of councillors and the elections are yet to take place there.
As per report of national reconstruction bureau, total seats of councillors of District, tehsil town and union councils stand at 119, 843. The elected representatives fill about 114,503 seats and rest of the seats are vacant.
