Nov. 8--Foothill Transit will be leaving West Covina and moving to Glendora, where agency officials plan to build a corporate headquarters.
The deal is a Glendora coup because the agency's presence will brighten the city's aging downtown, help increase its daytime population and bolster sales tax-revenue dollars, officials there say.
Glendora officials say West Covina's loss is their gain.
"We have been wooing Foothill for the last year and a half," said Mayor Cliff Hamlow. "They are an outstanding organization."
