Elmhurst's Queens Center and New York City's Grand Central Terminal were recognized for marketing excellence by the 33rd annual MAXI Awards program of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
During a ceremony held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the ICSC Fall Convention in San Antonio, Texas, Queens Center won a MAXI in the grand opening, expansion and renovation category.
One merit award was received by Grand Central Terminal in the center productivity category. This year's winners were selected from a field of 354 entries, with 251 finalists in the MAXI Awards competition.
