CHESAPEAKE - It was just after 8 a.m. on a Wednesday when Rusty burst through the door of a veterinarian's office, dragging his owner behind.
Rusty held his right rear leg off the ground, but still strained at the leash and wiggled for his owner's affection.
It would be a big day for Rusty, a 5-year-old yellow Labrador who blew out his knee a few weeks ago while fetching a toy in the Bay. In a few hours, he would be under the knife for a complicated surgery.
