Top pick in '03 draft visits Scope tonight as Penguins goalie
When NHL owners locked out their players last month, it pushed a number of talented youngsters down into AHL competition. The first of these high-profile opponents comes to town tonight when the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins visit the Norfolk Admirals at Scope.
Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, the first overall pick in the 2003 NHL entry draft, is about as touted as they come. But the 19-year-old and his teammates have not started the season in style. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton arrives 0-3, having allowed 18 goals.
