CLEVELAND -- The Mariners have played first-place teams in four consecutive games, and they have won each time.
None of the wins came easily. And despite jumping to a 7-0 lead after four innings, Monday's 8-7 victory over the Cleveland Indians was every bit as difficult as three one-run wins over San Diego last weekend.
This time, Raul Ibanez proved to be too much for the Indians.
The left fielder threw out the potential go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth, then capped a five-RBI night, the most by a Mariner this season, with a game-winning double.
