We've all seen the pictures, read the stories and heard the news reports. Our soldiers overseas are living, working and sleeping in deplorable conditions. Though we can't bring them home, we can do a little something to brighten their day.
The Schaumburg Township District Library's 2004 "Make A Difference Day" project is a collection of items to send to our U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Suggested categories include snacks, correspondence, drink, food, music/entertainment, tobacco products, toiletries (much needed), seasonal (things we send now may be received by Christmas).
