Michael Kors has licensed Toronto-based American Essentials to produce and market hosiery under the Michael Kors and Michael Michael Kors names. The men's and women's products will launch for fall 2005 at department stores carrying the designer's collections. In keeping with the sportswear's positioning, Michael Kors hosiery will include luxury fibers and fabrics such as cashmere, silk, and fine-ribbed and cable cotton, which will sell from $20 to $300. The more moderate Michael line will be priced between $8 and $25.
