Thanksgiving with no carbs? No problem.
That, at least, is the attitude of those who follow such carb-restrictive regimens as Atkins and South Beach. Though the rest of us may recoil in horror at the notion of Thanksgiving without stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie, carb-restricters say, between the plethora of new products on the market and the inherently low-carb nature of the holiday meal, a diet Thanksgiving involves no sacrifice at all.
"Everything has come such a long way that you can live a normal life, even during the holidays," says Joe Krivelow of Danvers, who has been on a low-carb diet for five years.
