Empresas Petroleo Ipiranga has announce a net profit of R$403.9mil for the first nine months of 2004, a growth of 50.4% when compared to the R$268.5mil recorded in same period in 2003. The consolidated gross earning grew by 9.06% in the period, from US$15.786bil to R$17.217bil. The Ebitda rose by 29.3%, hitting R$807.3mil in 2004 against R$624.3mil in 2003. The performance has been pushed by the favorable exports, monthly surplus in trade balance and increase of the Brazilian economy.
